Regenerative Medicine Injections in Grapevine, Texas

Align Health specializes in regenerative medicine therapy and regenerative medicine injections. Using the best live regenerative cell product, we are able to treat a variety of chronic orthopedic ailments, spine conditions, injuries, and other medical conditions. Regenerative medicine gives new life and our regenerative medicine injections serve as an alternative to surgery, medications, and/or steroids!

Our regenerative medicine injections and can be used to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with a variety of ailments including problems of knee, hip, back, neck, shoulder, elbow, and spine, as well as arthritis and other musculoskeletal problems that have failed conventional methods of treatment. regenerative cells don’t just mask symptoms, they heal the underlying cause of the problem by enabling tissue to regenerate!

As such, regenerative medicine injections are more effective than traditional surgical procedures as they require less healing time, little to no rehabilitation, and are less painful.

What are regenerative cells?

Regenerative cells are unspecialized or undifferentiated cells that are able to replicate and change into different types of cells, depending on what your body tells them to do.

There are three different types of regenerative cells:

    • Adult – Found in bone marrow or adipose (fat) tissue
    • Embryonic – Found in embryos; Illegal in the United States
    • Placental – Harvested via Allograft, a tissue graft taken from the placenta of a donor who is concerned with the welfare of others or via the uterus of a legally performed C-section; Both sources contain a high percentage of regenerative cells

.

Align Health uses placental regenerative cells, rather than adult regenerative cells, for all regenerative cell injections. We opt for placental regenerative cells as they are pluripotent, meaning they have the ability to form all adult cell types. Adult regenerative cells are multipotent, meaning they have the ability to turn into more than one cell type but cannot form all adult cell types. Placental regenerative cells are the basis of the specific cell types that compose each organ in the body. As naturally occurring cells throughout the body, regenerative cells not only renew themselves and differentiate (i.e. turn into other cells) but also help create new cells in existing healthy tissue. regenerative cells live inside all of us, housed in various body tissue, and upon tissue injury or damage, they leap into action to repair damage as it occurs. For this reason, regenerative cells are considered by many to be the repairmen’ of the body.

regenerative cells differ from other cells in several ways. They have the ability to self-renew and they are able to divide for a long period of time. Additionally, under appropriate conditions, regenerative cells can differentiate into other specialized cells including heart cells, liver cells, bone cells, cartilage cells, nerve cells, and more. The differentiation of regenerative cells into other cells is called multipotency; controlling regenerative cell differentiation has become the basis for many of the new treatments of serious disease, injury, pain management and regenerative medicine.

Are placental regenerative cells safe?

Placental regenerative cells are safe, clean, and effective. The donated tissue is not only tested before processing but also upon final product. Our procedures follow FDA Guideline 21CFR Part 1271 and the American Association of Tissue Banks rules and guidelines. Our placental regenerative cells are collected from human amniotic membrane and fluid, which have no antigens and do not cause rejection when injected into the body. Our tissue is tested before and after processing to ensure it has zero chronic tissue and 100% amniotic tissue, adhering to the safest, most ethical, and highest standards. Over 50,000 injections have been performed without one adverse reaction.

Where are your placental regenerative cells harvested?

The tissue is collected safely at 8 facilities around the United States. Donors range in age from 18 – 35, are healthy, and have no prior use of medication of other chemical substances. Donors undergo rigorous screening, where a careful history is taken regarding their social life and medical history and their blood is tested for any communicable diseases including HIV, Aids, and Hepatitis.

How do regenerative cell injections work?

Our regenerative cell injections utilize regenerative cells obtained from donated placental tissue. These high density, activated, platelet rich plasma and regenerative cells are rich in growth factors and contain the regenerative capacity necessary to regulate and facilitate the natural healing process of injured tissues. Align Health uses placental tissue, rather than adult regenerative cells, for several reasons. Placental tissue yields a higher concentration of regenerative cells, which allows us to deliver the most regenerative benefits. By source our donated placental tissue and placental regenerative cells from a renowned regenerative cell bank, we are able to avoid the painful process of harvesting regenerative cells from our patient’s own bodied.

Injections are performed using advanced imaging guidance (ultrasound and/or fluoroscopy) to ensure safety, accuracy, and optimal results. The regenerative cells are injected directly into the damaged tissues or injured joints. Typically, the entire procedure lasts 30-60 minutes and most all procedures are completed in a single office visit.

How do regenerative cells work?

Once regenerative cells are reintroduced to the injured area, the platelets then release signal proteins and growth factors that stimulate regenerative cells. These signal proteins and growth factors are called cytokines. It is important to understand that regenerative cells by themselves are unable to repair the injured area; regenerative cells must be properly directed, cytokines perform the repair function. The placental regenerative cells we use are more densely rich in cytokines than adult regenerative cells, allowing us to better guide the regenerative cell injection to the injured area.

Cytokines tell the regenerative cells and growth factors exactly where to go, what to do, and what to become. Our injections contain a super-high concentration of regenerative cells and the growth factors needed to regeneration:

  • Collagen – Key building block for joints and connective tissue
  • Growth Factors – Messenger RNA
  • Amino Acids – Proteins
  • Carbohydrates – For metabolism
  • Electrolytes
  • Enzymes

Once they are activated, regenerative cells perform a variety of valuable functions. Apart from repairing damage to the injured areas, regenerative cells help the damaged and weak cells in our bodies to restore themselves and aid in the body’s natural repair processes.

How long does the regenerative cell repair process take?

Generally, the total repair process takes two to three months to complete but in most cases, improvement may be noticed before then. Optimal results are seen as regenerative cells to continue to differentiate and grow new tissue; regenerative cells remain active for up to 18 months.

There are various conditions that can affect the progress of regenerative cell therapy, some positively, others negatively. Patients undergoing regenerative cell therapy or platelet-rich plasma treatments are advised to minimize their intake of alcohol, as consumption tends to delay the body’s ability to release regenerative cells. Some supplements have been found to increase the number of regenerative cells; these include carnosine, blueberry extract, vitamin D3, and green tea extract.

What to expect

Since most all procedures are completed in a single office visit and involve minimal discomfort, patients are generally able to resume normal activity and/or return to work the same day. For pain management, orthopedic, and joint pain treatments, patients may experience minimal pain or discomfort as the regenerative cells work to regenerate; complete pain relief usually occurs within a few weeks and continues to improve over months.
